Welcome to the Coal Mountain Panjo website. I started making stringed musical instruments 10 years ago using pans and repurposed wood. This is not a new idea. Making musical instruments from whatever you had laying around goes back many years. The instruments I make are inspired from appalachian instruments from the 1800's. In the last couple of years I have started making instruments from cigar boxes, license plates, cookie tins and other recycled items.




I can do custom projects if you have a special pan, cigar box or license plate you want to use. The price would be the same as the regular priced instrument. Just ship me the item and I will send you back the finished instrument.
